When it comes to finding the perfect backpack that combines style, functionality, and durability, I wanted to try the Mark Ryden Navarro II.
As a travel-photographer, I had to go through all weathers and in the harshest of environments.
From the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan, to the Torngat mountains in Newfoundland and Labrador, to Taiwan, Colombia, Peru, South Africa, Italy, Canada, and God knows how many more, all my gear gets a tough beating when on my expeditions; the backpack has the function to keep my gear dry and protected.
So far, the Pelican S115 Sport Elite Laptop and Camera Backpack (not produced anymore) has worked for me since 2011. The one insurmountable problem that the Pelican has is the weight and how uncomfortable it could become after a few hours of having it on your back. This is a small price to pay for the protection of your gear; unfortunately, that pain can become a burden too heavy to haul on long treks.
The backpack has not only the function of carying gear or your daily necessities, but in many cases, it becomes an accessory that needs to match your style.
I made a very long research and my final choice was Mark Ryden. Before there are any doubts on the legitimacy of this article, no, this is not sponsored in any way, shape, or form, from Mark Ryden (don’t get me wrong I would love to become their ambassador).

I chose their backpack because they seem designed for Batman, 007, or if you are David Hasselhoff, the Knight Rider, well this seems right out of Knight Industries Two Thousand.
The material is smooth and the style is incredibly stylish. Going to a wedding, a gala, or important events, I can guarantee that a Pelican backpack stands out like a sore thumb and the person wearing it does not look any better.
The looks of who is taking photos or videos is extremely important, so my Navarro II is as slick as a backpack can get. The weight is like a feather, yet packed with compartments that makes it worth of a secret agents main gadget. I tried it fully packed with my two Nikon cameras; three lenses, and a full set of batteries, chargers, phone, accessories of all sorts, hard drives, cables, and extra layers of clothing.
The straps are perfectly places and the weight ditributed to maximize comfort. The backpack never loses its shape and this is important. Most product photography shows items perfectly shaped without a wrinkle, then you get them shipped and they look quite different from what you purchased. This is definitely not the case. Mark Ryden delivered exactly what you see on the website.

Urban exploration or outdoors I found that the Navarro II is a perfect solution for me.

One of the primary reasons why I chose Mark Ryden is comfort, design, and materials, that is why they have become so popular. A well-designed backpack evenly distributes the weight across our shoulders and back, reducing strain and discomfort. When the Navarro II isn’t enough I switch to Aspect, that can expand from 25L to 36L in a heartbeat. It has customizable sections, laptop section and multi-layered space to divide and organize gear, clothes, and everything in between.

CONCLUSIONS
I didn’t mean to reduce the Mark Ryden to a camera bag, because it’s so much more. The fashion-forward style suitable from stylish lawyers, to creative directors, students, commuters, and everyone in between.
Doing a review for something that you truly tried, tested, enjoyed and feel that should be promoted is a pleasure.
If this was not enough, the customer care was simply outstanding making my choice to move to Mark Ryden a definitive one.
